One person has died and several others were injured after an incident on a rollercoaster at an amusement park in the US state of Georgia.

Six Flags Over Georgia park officials said staff found the man, identified as 42-year-old Atlanta resident Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem, beneath the ride. He was unresponsive and not breathing. Witnesses have described the incident and its aftermath, with one man who was also on the ride describing it as “super bizarre, traumatic”.
