LivestreamMenuLately, Wall Street’s eyes have been fixed on the bond market, and rightfully so. But there’s another major catalyst that could sway the market this week. Nvidia , the biggest company in the world by market cap — almost $5.2 trillion, according to FactSet — is set to report fiscal second-quarter results Wednesday after the bell. Analysts are expecting nothing short of astonishing from the chipmaker. LSEG consensus estimates point to Q2 earnings and revenue doubling from the year-earlier period. But with expectations that high, the risk for disappointment is also elevated. “All roads lead to Nvidia thanks to the enormous AI build out and the circularity of the financing, which makes Nvidia the alpha bank of all of it,” said Richard Reyle, chief investment officer at Questar Capital Partners. “The question is, will the stock still have a muted reaction even with great numbers.” NVDA mountain 2026-08-03 NVDA MTD Investors and analysts will also have questions about potential price increases. Bloomberg News reported over the weekend, citing sources, that Nvidia notified customers that servers with Vera Rubin and Blackwell chips will see price hikes of more than 15% effective in early 2027. “NVDA is securing every AI input for fast-growing … customers – rewarding now, but risky if demand slows,” Bank of America strategist Paula Andrea Soto wrote. Nvidia shares have performed well of late. The stock is up nearly 7% for the month through Friday’s close, while the S & P 500 has gained 2.5%. Still, Wedbush analyst Matt Bryson thinks the chipmaker will be able to continue its strong run once Wednesday’s numbers are released. “We again expect NVDA to exceed its guidance and to guide October above Street, given 1) a strong hyperscale spending backdrop that firmed further through CQ2 earnings, and 2) a supply position we continue to view as the best in the industry at a point where component and material access, not end demand, is defining shipments,” wrote Bryson, who has an outperform rating on the company led by CEO Jensen Huang.Read More
