During a meeting at the United Nations General Assembly, a tense confrontation erupted between US and Cuban officials. It began after Mike Waltz, US Ambassador to the UN, claimed that the Havana government has profited off the forced labour of its citizens.

The Cuban delegation, including Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, began to slam on the tables and shout for point of order.

This clash marks the latest in a long history of public spats between the two nations.
