In Warsaw , a family of common goosanders halts traffic as a mother leads her nine newly hatched ducklings across a six-lane road toward the Vistula River.

The annual spring crossing from Lazienki Park draws volunteers who help block traffic and ensure safety.

Barely a day old, the ducklings follow their mother’s calls and instincts to reach richer feeding grounds, in a remarkable urban wildlife spectacle.
