At least 68 people have been killed after two high-speed trains collided near Urda, about 130 kilometers (around 80 miles) south of Madrid, in one of Spain’s deadliest rail disasters. According to reports, one train struck the rear of another that had stopped, derailing several carriages. The cause remains under investigation, with authorities urging caution over speculation. The crash comes just months after another fatal rail accident, renewing concerns about train safety and public confidence in Spain’s high-speed rail network.
