US President Donald Trumpwelcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping to Washington for a summit rich in symbolism but short on concrete outcomes.

The leaders discussed trade, tariffs, Taiwan, artificial intelligence, Iran and China’s control of critical minerals, while agreeing to extend a trade truce until January.
