Japanese matcha tea is regarded as a super food in many countries. In Japan, tea farmers are profiting from rising demand.

Harvest and processing the tea is painstaking work. The leaves are picked by hand, dried and ground into the fine green powder with special granite mills.

Originally, matcha was reserved for the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Nowadays, it’s found in all kinds of food — in Japan and elsewhere.
