Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyychallenged Putin to end the war in an open letter and called for a face-to-face meeting with the Russian leader.

Zelenskyy also held a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the leaders of France and Germany in London, apparently drumming up support for Ukraine’s war effort.

DW asked Russia expert Katia Glod if Zelenskyy’s newly found confidence is justified and if negotiations can be expected in the near term.
